Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Marketing Events Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is remote with travel within the US.
This role will lead the newly established field marketing events portfolio. You will plan, manage, attend and evaluate strategic field events within the Food & Drink (F&D) vertical across designated U.S. markets. The B2B Field Marketing Events Manager is an integral part of the Growth Marketing team who, on a daily basis, will partner with internal stakeholders such as Partnerships, Partner Marketing and Sales as well as the external agency partner to deliver bar raising experiences for the sellers. This role will support Partner Marketing + local Sales business goals and priorities. This highly motivated and extremely organized candidate must have experience planning in-person field events, managing projects happening concurrently, possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. As a representative at each attended event, you will act professionally by displaying constant poise and sophistication, especially during fast-moving and/or ambiguous situations. This candidate can successfully work autonomously on full-cycle event management, logistics and strategy. Your leadership will directly help the company optimize lead generation opportunities and contribute to pipeline and revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full-cycle event management and strategy including shipping logistics, attendee experience & engagement, event booth optimization, budget management, post event reporting and more for key business initiatives like partner events, trade shows and restaurant association activations..
- Establish and lead best practices for F&D field marketing event approach, including event selection and prioritization, management and execution.
- Work with the Partnerships team to proactively explore other potential channel partnerships that can deliver new customers and revenue to the company
- Build strong relationships with Channel Partners through consistent communication and onsite event professionalism.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to amplify the event, deliver an outstanding attendee experience and meet product marketing’s goals and objectives.
- Apply strong project management, documentation, analytics, and reporting & analysis skills.
- Work productively within a small team environment while also rolling up your sleeves to effectively accomplish all field event management responsibilities.
- This role travels up to 50% of the time within the U.S. including weekends, to attend strategic events, or to spot-check vendor execution.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional marketing experience
- 3+ years experience building, executing and scaling field marketing events from concept to completion
- Know and love the event marketing space. Has the ability to articulate emerging trends and offers thought leadership on field marketing tactics.
- Strong attention to detail, exemplary project management skills and solution-oriented.
- Have a proven track record of producing quality work from idea through execution that's on time and within budget.
- Have stellar communication skills and can clearly communicate your ideas in both written and oral channels and forums.
