We are seeking a Bank Loan Analyst on a contract basis to provide support to the portfolio management and investment team covering various reporting areas, trade support, and settlement efforts. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Downers Grove, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Produce various scheduled reporting deliverables for internal stakeholders, including Investment, Reporting, and Legal & Compliance teams
- Collaborate with team members to deliver top-tier service to internal and external clients and service providers
- Support traders by ensuring all trading activity is entered accurately and in a timely manner to support investment products
- Assist the trade closing team in coordinating and facilitating settlement efforts
- Liaise with traders, trade counterparties, and agent banks to support settlement workflows
- Support data quality and integrity of critical business information
- Perform data mining from internal and external sources and analyze data for Bank Loan clients
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance/Accounting or related business degree preferred)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Familiarity with bonds and bond settlements preferred
- Solid understanding of the security/loan market (LMA) and fund operations preferred
- Experience in reporting and/or product oversight preferred
- Experience in investment management preferred
- Strong attention to detail with high commitment to accuracy
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Ability to analyze data and present insights clearly and effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, and Word
- Working knowledge of S&P Wall Street Office and/or Allvue-Everest preferred
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and follow through on projects
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and complete assigned tasks on time
- Open-minded and flexible with the ability to consider others’ perspectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal ability
