Banking & Finance Attorney (100% Remote)

Our customer is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. They help researchers make new discoveries, doctors and nurses improve the lives of patients, and lawyers develop winning strategies. They prevent online fraud and money laundering and help insurance companies evaluate and predict risk. Their events combine in-person and digital experiences to help customers learn about markets, source products, and complete transactions. In short, they enable customers to make better decisions, get better results and be more productive.

We are seeking an experienced contract Banking & Finance Attorney to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

This role requires 3-5 years of experience in the banking & finance practice area to help draft and review “how-to” type practical guidance, legal and market trend analysis, and research in case law, treatises, and various other legal resources for a wide range of banking & finance topics.

• Part-time, 15-20 hours/week
• Interview Process will consist of an interview and a writing assessment

Responsibilities:

• Develop, edit, and write practical legal guidance related to banking and finance matters
• Analyze legal issues and provide clear, actionable insights for practitioners
• Draft, review, and annotate legal documents, forms, and checklists
• Conduct legal research and synthesize findings into concise written materials
• Support the development of high-quality legal content for professional use

Skills and Qualifications:

• Law degree from an accredited law school
• Active bar membership in good standing
• 3-5 years of experience as a banking and finance attorney, preferably with an AMLaw 100/200 firm
• Significant experience representing agent banks, arrangers, financial institutions, sponsors, and corporate borrowers
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, guarantees, intercreditor agreements, and related documentation
• Experience with acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated lending, private credit lending, asset finance, project finance, restructurings, securitizations, and financial derivatives
• Excellent legal writing, editing, and research skills
• Strong ability to write clearly, concisely, and practically for legal audiences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience conducting online legal research and using AI tools for legal workflows
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
