Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.
We are seeking a Benefits Operations Specialist on a contract basis who will support the Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
The Benefits Operations team is responsible for supporting, operationalizing and streamlining US Benefits. This is a temporary contract role reporting to the Global Benefits Operations Manager.

What You'll Do:
- Respond to Tier 2 employee queries and assist Scale Support with Tier 0 /1 queries as needed via JIRA Cloud ticketing system and support the Core Benefits team on all operational needs.
- Provide functional support to employees needing assistance with Benefits Employee Self Services (ESS) transactions
- Assist with benefits day to day processing in Workday for new hires, terminations, and qualified life events
- Partner with the Business Systems team to resolve benefits-related system issues, implement process improvements, and test system changes as needed
- Assist with EOIs administration support and integration error reviews by partnering with insurance carriers and our HRIS tool, Workday
- Support the project management administration of open enrollment and other benefits changes
- Assist with personal leaves, accommodations, outplacement services, worker compensation requests and assist with confirming return to work dates for all leaves as needed
- Collaborate with Benefits Program Managers on special projects
- Assist with compliance audits, plan documents and all federal, state, and local laws as needed
- Assist with responding to government notices and ensure reporting requirements are met in a timely manner, including required notice distribution
- Responsibilities and tasks may change and shift as we operationalize and streamline
Must-haves:
- 2-3+ years of previous Benefits experience in the US (global experience preferred, but not required)
- Experience using Workday HCM (Workday Benefits is a plus)
- Familiar with JIRA Cloud or similar ticketing tracking system
- Advance experience with Google Docs and Microsoft office a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential data
- Passionate about developing efficient processes and driving results
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of benefits federal, state, and local laws
