Job description
Our Customer is a leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles with operations in North America, Europe, and Taiwan. They offer their customers a broad range of replacement systems, components, equipment, and parts to repair and accessorize automobiles, trucks, and recreational and performance vehicles.
We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, life, disability, FSA, Health Spending Accounts, 401(k), and other benefit offerings. Ensures accurate application of plan provisions, compliance with legal requirements, and effective support for employees and vendors in managing benefits programs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the daily administration of benefits plans, ensuring the timely processing of documentation.
- Coordinate weekly, monthly, and annual benefits plan funding, billing, audits, and reconciliations.
- Ensure benefits compliance with applicable federal, state, and municipal regulations.
- Administer Qualified National Medical Support Notices.
- Work with benefits vendors to maintain accurate employee eligibility, funding, billing, and reconciliation.
- Partner with Payroll and HRIS departments to monitor and report on benefits data.
- Support reporting and audit processes as required.
- Assist employees with benefit claim issues and determine appropriate resolution.
- Maintain administrative manuals, records, HRIS benefits databases, and related documents in compliance with ERISA laws and plan requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA regulations.
- Manage employee enrollment in benefits programs through the HCM ticketing system by effective coverage dates.
- Coordinate with benefit providers for accurate and ongoing administration of all benefit programs, including benefits data transfer.
- Run annual ACA reporting to track hours.
- Serve as Tier 2 support for benefit-related requests in the HCM ticketing system.
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and applicable laws and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in employee benefits administration and experience resolving employee or customer issues.
- Strong mathematical skills: ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with the ability to create, maintain, and integrate functions into documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to train others, interact with peers and management, and deliver presentations.
- Ability to solve routine problems by following established procedures and directions.
- Demonstrated decision-making skills within assigned functional areas.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to set personal objectives and determine methods to achieve results with limited supervision.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks or moderately complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
- CEBS certification.
Hours, Duration, and Location:
- M-F 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Antioch, TN
