Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Data Engineer, Snowflake on a contract basis who will be part of a development team using an agile methodology to continuously deliver business values who will work on Snowflake and SQL server platforms. This role is 100% remote and must be located in PST.
What you’ll do:
- Design and develop data movements using Snowflake capabilities like Snow SQL, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Data sharing and stored procedures
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using Snowflake
- Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and analysts to design data models and architecture that align with the company's business objectives
- Performance optimization in Snowflake for ETL pipelines and data models
- Deliver ETL, BI Data models and Analytic solutions using Snowflake data platform and Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence tools
- Design and build data models to conform with our existing EDW architecture
- Work with teams to deliver effective, high-value reporting solutions by leveraging an established delivery methodology
- Perform data mining and analysis to uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve our decisions
- Write analytics programs (transformations/calculations) using T-SQL and Python or comparable
Must Haves:
- 10+ years Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse development experience
- 3+ Experience primarily in data warehousing and ELT development on Snowflake platform using Snowflake capabilities like Snow SQL (T-SQL, PLSQL, and/or SQL scripts), Tasks, and Streams, Time travel, Security setup, Data sharing and stored procedures
- Should also have experience in performance optimization and tuning
- Strong SQL development skills are a requirement of this position
- Experience with regulatory compliance and GxP validations is highly preferred
- Experience in utilizing Python and R is a plus.
- Experience visualizing data in business intelligence tools such as Tableau
- Must be a self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented team player passionate about producing high quality BI & Analytics deliverables
- Should also possess ability to analyze business requirements and ask clarifying questions
- Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision and provide a structured development effort to ongoing/new projects
- Strong sense of customer service for internal customers
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is 100% remote and must sit in PST.

The salary range for this position is: $72.98 - $87.98 per hour
