The Gig:
As an HR Generalist you’ll serve as part a team as a trusted advisor to our clients guiding them through employment compliance, recruiting top talent, supporting benefits administration, developing people policies, and building culture-driven workplaces. This position is based in Hauppauge, NY, with flexible work-from-home options and 10% client visits across NYC, Long Island, NJ, and CT.
You’ll Be Doing Things Like:
- Consulting with clients on multistate HR compliance and best practices
- Leading recruitment efforts: creating job postings, sourcing, screening, hiring
- Onboarding new employees and orienting them to their manager and team
- Supporting employee relations, benefits administration, leave of absences including FMLA, and state leaves.
- Conducting remote employee trainings and creating employee communications
You’re a Fit If You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in HR
- 4+ years of HR experience (multi-state experience preferred with CA, NJ, CT)
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems and recruiting platforms
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- MS Office 365, Teams, Adobe Pro and exposure to AI tools like Chat GPT
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP a plus
- Bilingual in English & Spanish a plus
Hybrid Work Requirements:
- Hybrid role based in Hauppauge, NY
- 10% travel to client sites in LI, NYC, NY, NJ, and CT
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required
