Job description
Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Remote
Position: Part-Time (~40 hours per month)
Overview
We are seeking a part-time team detail-oriented Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will be responsible for closing the books, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations, and supporting quarterly investor reporting. We trust the CFO and the bookkeeper will be able to find a schedule and cadence that mutually works for both parties and would like to offer a remote position.
Responsibilities
Weekly
- Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments
- Track and organize financial transactions to prepare for month close
Monthly
- Complete month-end close and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify and resolve any discrepancies
- Generate monthly financial reports and provide financial insights and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
Quarterly and Periodic
- Support CFO with quarterly investor reporting
- Assist with financial audits and regulatory inspections
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in Accounting, Controller, or Bookkeeper role
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Experience with Quickbooks
- Preferred interest in Early Education and Development
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Tools: quickbooks, Rippling, Brex, Amazon, Connect Team, Slack, Brightwheel
