Job description

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform frequent bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts.
  • Prepare and process payroll on a weekly basis, including record-keeping, deductions, and tax compliance.
  • Manage Accounts Payable (A/P) enter bills as incurred, process invoices, and schedule payments.
  • Complete month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
  • Perform HR functions: employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits enrollment, and general compliance with employment regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications/Skills

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience (required).
  • Strong working knowledge of bank reconciliations, accounts payable, payroll processing, and month-end close procedures.
  • Experience with HR administrative tasks (onboarding, benefits, compliance) is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of payroll and HR compliance regulations (preferred).
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus (not required).
