Bookkeeper

Full Time, 40 hours (Option for part-time schedule if desired)

Hybrid- 2 days/week onsite in Boonton, NJ

$60,000-75,000 Salary Range

Our client is a forward-thinking, people-focused Accounting firm known for delivering high-value advisory and outsourced accounting solutions to privately held businesses. As the Concierge Accounting Services (CAS) practice continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join the team and support their clients with high-touch, technology-driven accounting services.

As a CAS Bookkeeper, you will become an integral part of the clients’ financial operations—providing accurate, timely, and proactive bookkeeping support. You will work closely with internal team to ensure financial clarity, operational efficiency, and an exceptional client experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of routine accounting work, client interaction, and problem-solving in a fast-paced, modern CPA firm environment.

You will support the fully managed CAS offering by assisting with:

  • Accurate transaction coding and posting
  • Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Weekly bill pay processing and cash flow support using tools such as Bill.com or Ramp
  • Payroll assistance, coordination, and reporting (ADP, Gusto)
  • Vendor management and 1099 preparation
  • Sales & Use tax filings
  • Maintaining fixed asset records (equipment, furniture, fixtures)
  • Support for workers compensation audits and retirement plan census preparation
  • Collaboration with the CAS team on quarterly virtual CFO meetings for clients
  • You will also assist clients in leveraging the preferred CAS tech stack, including QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Ramp, Expensify, Amazon Business, and others.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience (CAS, outsourced accounting, or in-firm experience preferred)
  • Strong QuickBooks Online skills (QBO ProAdvisor certification a plus)
  • Experience with accounts payable workflows and cloud-based accounting tools
  • A commitment to accuracy, consistency, and timely deliverables
  • Strong client service mindset and excellent communication skills

Additional Assets:

  • Experience supporting medical, dental, or veterinary practices
  • Comfort with automation tools and process improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple clients in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Solid understanding of accrual accounting
