Job description
West Palm Beach, FL area preferred but not required.
Compensation based on experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Record Financial Transactions: Maintain accurate records of all income, expenses, and journal entries in accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly statements to ensure all transactions are properly categorized and matched.
- Payroll Support: Prepare and process payroll or assist with payroll entries and related tax filings.
- Financial Reporting: Generate financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses to ensure proper cost allocation.
- Inventory & COGS Tracking: Record and reconcile inventory movements and cost of goods sold.
Qualifications/Skills
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (or other accounting software) and Excel/Google Sheets preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Trustworthy: Someone who can be relied on to keep information private.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional and confidential.
- Preferred: Experience with payroll systems, sales tax filings, or inventory tracking.
