Job description

Our customer is seeking a SQL Business Data Analyst who has experience in Supply Chain Optimization on a contract basis to help support their business needs. We are looking for someone to drive initiatives related to improving market data coverage and quality and provide insights on industry leading and trending apps.

This role is 100% remote.

The main function of a Analyst is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics and budget. The business analyst usually reports to a project manager or director.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve contracts, cost proposals and contract supplements.
  • Approve project and work breakdown structures.
  • Review and approve the documentation of business processes.
  • Approve project budgets and expenditures, monitor transaction controls and costs against budgets.
  • Predict potential budget overruns and offer solutions.
  • Consult with corporate offices, project managers, auditors, client and sub-consultant representatives regarding future proposals.
  • Prepare sub-agreements and review and input sub-consultant invoices to ensure contact compliance.

Must-have Qualifications:
  • Qualified degrees for this job include Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, and Economics and Statistics.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics and SQL
  • Supply Chain Planning experience is must (Demand Forecasting, Inventory Management, Logistics Optimization, Continuous improvement, Manufacturing, Procurement Strategy etc)
  • Must be proficient in using spreadsheets
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Strong ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
  • Strong ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
  • Big tech experience is a plus
Interview Process:
  1. Case study related interview to assess analytical skills
  2. Problem-solving and modeling interview to assess ability to think critically and creatively
  3. Technical skills interview to assess proficiency in spreadsheets, writing SQL code, and tooling
