Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Business Analyst to help support their business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Resolve complex supply constraints and disruptions to minimize customer impact
- Analyze supplier performance and capacity metrics to identify risks and validate recovery plans
- Lead supplier and customer engagement to resolve escalated supply and fulfillment issues
- Evaluate and coordinate expedited freight and alternative logistics solutions to address short-term gaps
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage escalations, backorders, and aged cases
- Develop and execute supplier recovery plans for time-sensitive issues
- Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving to reduce service disruptions and downtime
- Implement process, scheduling, and logistics improvements to restore supply continuity
- Prepare clear summaries, recommendations, and status updates for leadership and stakeholders
- Support urgent escalations, including occasional extended or non-core hours
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance and supply risks
- Experience managing supply chain disruptions, supplier issues, or logistics coordination
- Ability to handle high-volume workloads and manage multiple escalations simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present risks and recommendations clearly
- Experience collaborating across purchasing, logistics, and operations teams
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and resolve complex issues
- Ability to work independently and drive resolution with minimal supervision
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to impact and service levels
Hours and Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Warren, MI - In office TU-TH, work from home on MO and FRI. ~ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
