Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.

We are seeking a Procurement Business Analyst on a contract basis who will support the Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.

In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills and business acumen to gather and analyze data, identify areas for improvement, collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop actionable insights and recommendations to optimize the procurement processes and drive cost savings. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex data effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with Global Procurement leadership and cross-functional business stakeholders (e.g., sales, finance, accounting, business systems, compliance) to develop analyses and documentation, ensuring effective communication with production, managerial, and executive teams.
  • Develop and present comprehensive business cases and impact assessments to support decision-making.
  • Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders across departments.
  • Analyze large datasets using statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights and trends.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Work with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Create detailed documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against established goals.
  • Ensure deadlines are met by coordinating with stakeholders and managing project timelines effectively.

Must-haves:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Consultant
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze large datasets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of business process modeling, requirements gathering, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience in Corporate Travel Management.
  • Experience with procurement systems (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms).
