We are seeking a Business Analyst on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is on-site in Redmond, WA.


The main function of a business analyst is to maintain vendor relationships, acting as a business analyst for non-IT projects or filling organizational roles above an administrative level, but below a management level. Other responsibilities may include maintaining all project management processes, including project goals, deadlines, metrics, and budget. The business analyst usually reports to a project manager or director.



Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve contracts, cost proposals, and contract supplements
  • Approve the project and work breakdown structures
  • Review and approve documentation of business processes
  • Approve project budgets and expenditures while monitoring transaction controls and costs against budgets
  • Predict potential budget overruns and provide solutions
  • Consult with corporate offices, project managers, auditors, clients, and sub-consultant representatives regarding upcoming proposals
  • Prepare sub-agreements and review/input sub-consultant invoices to ensure contract compliance
  • Maintain project management processes including goals, deadlines, metrics, and budget oversight
  • Support vendor relationship management and act as liaison for non-IT business projects


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service ability, and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and strong time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and operational methods
  • Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to assigned work
  • Ability to analyze business trends and forecast future revenues and expenses
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (Pivot Tables), and Google Sheets; experience with enterprise applications is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel


Preferred:

  • Experience with budget tracking vs. actual expenses
  • Ability to create and interpret basic charts for analytics
  • Familiarity with simple data visualization and trend analysis
