Job description

Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States., Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.


We are seeking a contract IT Disaster Recovery & Resilience Specialist to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote, EST/CST hours.



Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Operational Resilience Framework, including identification and documentation of Important Business Services.
  • Review, validate, and input Business Continuity data into the Fusion Risk Management planning tool.
  • Support system administration activities for the Business Resilience Planning tool (Fusion Risk Management).
  • Develop clear and comprehensive end-user documentation and training materials.
  • Create and deliver key reports to monitor and track resilience progress and compliance.
  • Ensure timely completion of system-related tasks and provide consistent updates on progress, risks, and issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps, propose solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in roles involving Business Continuity Planning, Operational Resilience, and/or system administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Business Continuity Planning tools; Fusion Risk Management experience required.
  • Strong understanding of Business Continuity Planning tool administration; experience with Fusion Risk Management preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Operational Resilience concepts, particularly Important Business Services.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions within the scope of authority.
  • Hands-on experience with data validation and migration processes, including exporting, importing, transforming, and verifying data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to leverage tools and scripts for reporting and analysis.
  • Adaptability to change and openness to diverse perspectives and ideas.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and embrace new technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential failures and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of procedures, applications, and concepts within Business Continuity and Operational Resilience, and ability to apply them in data migration and system administration contexts.
