Job description
Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States., Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.
We are seeking a contract Business Continuity Specialist to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Review and input business continuity data into the planning tool
- Assist with the building of teams and rosters within Business Continuity and Site Plans within the enterprise planning tool.
- Help with the building and maintaining of end-user documentation, training material, Presentations, and guides.
- Collaborating with Process Owners, Coordinators, and Plan Owners.
- Build, extend, and share data visualizations that are relevant to the business to support the health of the operations.
- Drive towards timely completion of the project and provide consistent updates on progress and issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Up to 2 years of related work experience in roles that include Business Planning and Documentation responsibilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and Business Continuity Planning Tools is desired
- Good time management and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete work and/or projects effectively.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make critical decisions effectively within the scope of authority based on data analyses, migration responsibilities, and data reviews.
- Manually performing data validation and data migration, such as exporting, importing, transforming, and verifying data.
- Use of various tools and scripts (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Fusion Risk Management)
- Ability to adapt to change and value diverse opinions and ideas.
- Ability to operate in an agile development environment, adopt and embrace new technologies.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Identify potential failures and recommend a solution.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication.
- Good understanding of procedures, applications, and concepts within own subject area, and understanding them in the context of data being migrated.
