Job description
The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a mental health private practice, located in Reston, Virginia (remote position!). They are looking for an experienced Business Development Assistant to join their team. Ideal candidates have experience providing business development for mental health private practices or any other health care related practice.
The Business Development Assistant will be responsible for generating leads, demonstrating and selling our services to potential clients and referral sources. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, a deep understanding of the networking, business development process, and feels comfortable with cold outreach.
The ideal candidate has experience working within the healthcare/mental health industries.
Core responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities to fuel referrals and new client intake sessions through cold calling, email outreach, and direct marketing, informational networking through contacting local organizations, hospitals, mental health private practices, schools, treatment centers.
- Generating referrals through execution of marketing campaigns
- Utilize a consultative, collaborative business development and outreach approach by uncovering prospects’ business to connect with and creating campaigns to effectively target identified referrals sources
- Effectively communicate the benefits of current offering to prospects and fully understand their needs before scheduling follow-up meetings
- Closely collaborate with Clinical Director to create, develop, and maintain referral relationships
- Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of our practice's mental health offerings, and local competition
- Achieve monthly quotas of sourced opportunities, and provide regular reports on achievements
Qualifications/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field
- Preference to candidates with business development within the healthcare/mental healthcare fields.
- Proven min of five years of experience in marketing, lead generation, business development and business outreach
- Understanding of the networking process and dynamics
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with referral sources
- Proficient user of Excel, Word, Outlook
- Highly motivated, driven, and self-starting individual
