Job description
WhyMaker is hiring a Business Development Manager (Individual Contributor) to own net-new revenue generation engaging decision-makers responsible for community impact, strategic partnerships, and workforce development initiatives.
This is a senior individual contributor role with full ownership of territory strategy, pipeline generation, deal execution, and revenue outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Own a defined territory and target account list
- Build and maintain 3×+ pipeline coverage against revenue targets
- Drive net-new pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and partner channels
- Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through close
- Navigate multi-stakeholder and public-sector buying processes
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and activity tracking in CRM (Monday.com)
Qualifications/Skills
- 5–10+ years of B2B sales or business development experience
- Proven success closing complex, consultative deals
- Experience selling to corporate executives, public agencies, or mission-driven organizations
- Strong self-sourcing capability (outbound, referrals, partnerships)
- Comfort managing long, multi-stakeholder buying processes
- Strong territory planning and account prioritization skills
- CRM fluency required (Monday.com a plus)
SUCCESS EXPECTATIONS - 90-day pipeline ramp focused on territory ownership and pipeline creation
- Territory plan completed within the first 30 days
- Demonstrated pipeline traction and deal progression by Day 90
