Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Business Development Representative on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career in sales and business development within the healthcare sector. You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, engaging healthcare providers, coordinating/facilitating clinical as well as market research studies, and supporting the digital and CRM initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate research and study activities across multiple departments and team members.
- Conduct outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage existing customers regarding networking and connectivity solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technical Support, Engineering, Design, and Clinical teams.
- Communicate proactively regarding project progress, blockers, and support needs.
- Partner with local sales teams to ensure alignment and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with hospital IT departments and physician champions.
- Monitor and report on digital project performance and recommend improvements.
- Recruit, coordinate, and facilitate clinical and market research studies.
- Provide on-site execution support for clinical and market research studies in the field and at company facilities.
- Ensure legal and payment compliance through established business systems.
- Manage administrative activities, including CRM management, expense report submission, and related documentation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience.
- Experience coordinating projects, research studies, or related programs.
- Experience conducting customer outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interact with healthcare professionals and hospital staff.
- Ability and flexibility to travel up to 60%.
- Ability to travel on short notice and support studies across various U.S. locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with hospital operations.
- Experience supporting clinical research or market research studies.
- Knowledge of the Pulmonology or Bronchoscopy space.
- Experience with Salesforce.
