Job description

Our Customer is a technology company that connects people with the best of their neighborhoods across the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. They enable local businesses to meet consumers’ needs of ease and convenience, and, in turn, generate new ways for people to earn, work, and live. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, they’re fulfilling our mission to grow and empower local economies.


Our Customer is seeking a Business Development Representative on a contract basis to help scale their logistics business, helping businesses optimize shipping speeds, reduce costs, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. As an outbound BDR, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers. Your goal will be to generate qualified leads by engaging decision-makers at e-commerce and retail brands. You’ll work closely with sales and marketing to build a high-quality pipeline, create engaging email and phone campaigns, and generate business. This role is 100% remote.


Commission: $1500 monthly bonus for booking 5 qualified meetings (meetings with companies in our prospect pipeline). Any meeting beyond 5 per month will pay $400 per enterprise account and $200 per mid-market account. Quota resets monthly.



Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and identify high-potential businesses through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn Engage, and qualify leads by understanding their shipping challenges and needs
  • Set up meetings and demos for Account Executives
  • Manage and track activities in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Collaborate with the cross-functional team to refine messaging and target segments


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sales or business development experience
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Consistent, measurable over-achievement in past experiences
  • Curiosity and a hunger to learn and stay up-to-date about the logistics industry
  • Desire to build a career in sales
  • A high degree of ownership and grit
  • Experience in the logistics industry is a plus
