Our Customer is seeking a eCommerce Business Development Representative on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote.
In this role, you’ll partner with eCommerce and retail brands to improve shipping speed, reduce costs, and elevate the customer experience. This is not a purely transactional BDR role. We are looking for someone who understands the broader sales cycle and can engage thoughtfully with senior stakeholders. You will play a critical role in building a pipeline while gaining exposure to full-cycle sales, positioning you for growth into closing roles over time
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and identify high-potential businesses through outbound calls, email outreach, and LinkedIn
- Engage and qualify decision-makers by uncovering business goals and shipping or operational challenges
- Communicate effectively with Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, including outreach, deal strategy, and handoff
- Schedule and support product demos and high-quality sales meetings
- Manage pipeline activity and maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce or similar systems
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to refine messaging, campaigns, and target audiences
- Support business growth initiatives and contribute to pipeline generation efforts
- Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and development programs
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or full-cycle sales roles
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in logistics, e-commerce, supply chain, SaaS, or technology sales highly desirable
- Proven ability to build credibility and engage senior-level stakeholders, including Directors, VPs, and C-suite executives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across phone, email, and video interactions
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales or performance targets
- Strong organizational and pipeline management skills
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- High ownership mentality, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Coachable with a strong desire for growth within a sales organization
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing teams
