Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Business Development Representative to help support their business needs.
Territory & Location
This role supports a defined geographic sales region. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory and be willing to travel extensively within that region (up to ~75%).
- Southeast Region: Preference for Atlanta, South Florida, or Charlotte
- West Region: Preference for Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, or Seattle
Responsibilities:
Channel Sales & Dealer Enablement
- Drive territory-level Energy charger sales through the client dealer network
- Act as consultants and trusted advisors to the dealers and work collaboratively with them on the development and implementation of their business plans to grow charger sales
- Reinforce charger-led selling as a core part of the EV ownership experience
- Help dealers connect chargers to broader system capabilities (vehicle-to-home, vehicle-to-grid, vehicle-to-everything)
Dealer & Client Field Collaboration
- Partner with client Field Sales to align energy sales with vehicle sales priorities across brands
- Support consistent go-to-market execution of Energy programs
- Reinforce processes to sell a client Energy charger with every EV at salesperson and sales-manager level
Go-to-Market & Performance Optimization
- Support client Energy product launches, promotions, and program rollouts to accelerate dealer adoption
- Analyze dealer performance, local market dynamics, and competitive activity to identify revenue opportunities
- Help resolve issues impacting sales execution, customer experience, or dealer readiness
Training, Readiness & Field Feedback
- Ensure dealer sales teams are trained and prepared to sell client Energy chargers and related solutions
- Reinforce execution standards tied to sales quality and customer outcomes
- Provide clear, actionable feedback from the field to improve client Energy programs, tools, and processes
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 3+ years in sales, channel management, or customer-facing commercial roles
- Automotive sales experience with strong knowledge of client dealer operations (Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac)
- Experience in a field-based role (e.g., District Sales Manager) preferred
- Experience in Energy, EV charging, or Technology/SaaS is a strong asset

- Strong field presence; able to influence dealer leadership and frontline sales teams
- Expert-level understanding of EVs, EV charging, and installation ecosystems
- Ability to translate complex offerings into clear, sales-ready guidance
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
