Job description

Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States., Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.


We are seeking a contract Business Effectiveness Senior Consultant to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days remote and 1 day on-site/week) in Chicago, IL, or Lake Mary, FL.



Responsibilities:

  • Implement enterprise change management initiatives, including stakeholder management, leadership alignment, organizational development, and culture transformation
  • Design and deliver cross-functional change management strategies to drive AI literacy usage and adoption
  • Lead large-scale, complex change initiatives impacting Operations, Underwriting, and other business functions
  • Evaluate and triage communication, training, and change management requests to determine appropriate interventions
  • Assess stakeholder impact, change drivers, barriers, and organizational risks using approved change management methodologies
  • Identify and mitigate integration risks and change-related issues
  • Draft business communications on behalf of senior leadership for internal and executive audiences
  • Create, edit, and distribute brand-compliant communications across multiple functions and platforms
  • Ensure communications align with corporate branding guidelines, templates, and communication protocols
  • Collaborate with business leaders, HR Business Partners, Corporate Communications teams, and operational stakeholders to support adoption and organizational effectiveness
  • Measure change effectiveness through stakeholder feedback, surveys, analytics, and readiness assessments
  • Analyze communication and adoption metrics to identify improvement opportunities and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Support leaders in modeling and implementing organizational changes to improve business performance


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Change Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5-8 years of communications and change management experience
  • Advanced expertise in change management principles, methodologies, and communication best practices
  • Experience designing and leading enterprise-level change management initiatives
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align strategies to operational and organizational objectives
  • Excellent writing, editing, and business communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, concise messaging for various audiences
  • Strong project management, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and cross-functional teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make effective business decisions within the scope of authority
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Chat tools
  • Experience using M365 Copilot or other Generative AI platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Communications, Change Management, Business, or related field
  • Previous insurance industry experience
