Our Customer is a tech real-estate marketplace company with a portfolio of the largest and most vibrant real estate and home-related brands on the web and mobile. We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Work Schedule
- Expected schedule: 8 hours per day, ideally 8 am–5 pm PST
- Core collaboration hours: 10 am–2 pm PST
- Flexibility outside core hours based on location
Responsibilities:
Dashboard Development & Visualization
- Build, maintain, and optimize self-service dashboards (primarily Tableau) that simplify complex data into actionable insights
- Develop forward-thinking visualizations aligned with data visualization best practices
- Continuously innovate dashboard design to enhance usability and stakeholder engagement
Data Integration & Reporting
- Work with Databricks and other data platforms to extract, transform, and integrate datasets across recruiting, job profiles, working arrangements, and other HR data
- Partner with team members and enterprise data teams to onboard new data sources and align with evolving data architecture standards
- Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and available data elements
- Produce datasets and reports using system reporting tools when needed
- Handle cyclical reporting and ad-hoc analysis across the employee lifecycle (recruiting, internal mobility, experience, attrition)
Tools, Systems & Workflow Optimization
- Collaborate to enhance tools and databases, ensuring optimal performance for stakeholder needs
- Streamline reporting workflows, update report fields, create new data views, and archive outdated materials
- Improve processes to ensure systems remain efficient, accurate, and user-friendly
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Plan, coordinate, and manage deliverables for key projects with clear communication and alignment
- Act as a strategic partner, offering insights-based recommendations rather than simply fulfilling requests
- Document requirements, timelines, risks, and project progress
- Consult with users and lead cross-functional teams to resolve business issues
Strategic Insights & Analytics
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns in workforce and internal team data
- Translate insights into compelling narratives that support leadership decision-making
- Construct forecasts, recommendations, and strategic or tactical plans based on business data
- Create presentations and data stories tailored to different audiences
Work Expectations & Professional Behaviors
- Operate as a self-starter, taking ownership of tasks with minimal oversight
- Maintain proactive communication, surfacing risks or delays early
- Follow through on commitments with high accountability and quality
- Be available Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm local time, with responsiveness during core hours
- Engage actively with team communication and shared deliverables
- Strong proficiency in Tableau (Looker also acceptable) for building, maintaining, and optimizing dashboards
- SQL proficiency for transforming and preparing data for analysis
- Experience with HR/people data (recruiting, headcount, attrition, employee lifecycle)
- Business Intelligence skills, including data storytelling and insight-driven presentations
- Experience working with large datasets and platforms like Databricks or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder collaboration
- Self-starter with high accountability, able to work independently and proactively
