We are looking for a Business Intelligence ETL (Extracting, Transforming, and Loading Data) Engineer on a contract basis to help support our customer's business needs. This role will be responsible for maintaining high-quality Business Intelligence solutions within the Ariba IT organization. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the integration of data from various systems into a defined data warehouse. The foundation of this role is built on the continued development of strong knowledge and expertise in data integration, databases, and business intelligence reporting and analysis. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a passion for continuous learning.
What you’ll do:
- Create, transform, support, and maintain ETL Data Flows using Data Services.
- Create HANA Stored Procedures to provide data to applications.
- Create and Modify database tables within the Data Warehouse.
- Provide User support for Incidents and Service Requests.
Must Haves:
- 5+ experience in Business Intelligence with a strong preference for Data Services
- Firm understanding of Data Services 4.2 or higher. Would also consider Informatica.
- Experience working with Hana Stored procedures is strongly preferred.
- Good database abilities to create analytics solutions that meet the business needs.
- Experience/knowledge of database environment.
- Experience/knowledge of an MS SQL Server database environment.
- SQL query and extraction skills related to information retrieval and analysis.
- Good written / communication skills and focus on detail.
- Firm understanding of BusinessObjects 4.2.
- Experience with Business Objects Universes, Web Intelligence, Design Studio, Lumira, Lifecycle Manager.
- Friendly presence, good interpersonal skills, helpful attitude, always projecting a positive outlook in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
Education:
- BS / Technical Degree.
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be onsite at our Customer’s Pittsburgh, PA office once it is determined safe to do so.
