Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Operations Coordinator on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with global marketing stakeholders to oversee execution of budget plans through purchase order creation, invoice management, and accrual tracking
- Reconcile budget plans with actual spend using disparate datasets and develop reporting to monitor execution and manage risk
- Manage billing transactions, vendor communications, and month-end close processes in coordination with Accounting
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to define and update operational processes as the business scales
- Onboard vendors and partners, facilitating relationships with Procurement on behalf of the marketing team
- Identify operational gaps and lead strategic projects to address opportunities and key initiatives
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an operational role, ideally within marketing
- Experience partnering with Accounting and Finance teams and managing budgets
- Strong expertise with Google Sheets; experience with Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, or Pigment is a plus
- Positive and proactive attitude with the ability to manage complex questions and new projects
- Strong problem-solving skills with a desire to improve and scale operations in creative ways
- Ability to troubleshoot technical questions with Finance and Accounting teams
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization
