Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Talent Acquisition Consultant on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.


Executive Sourcer, Technology


Summary

The Executive Sourcer, Technology leads the research and sourcing phases of executive searches for critical technology leadership roles. Working in close partnership with Principal Executive Recruiters and hiring leaders, this role translates business and leadership needs into focused search strategies, target markets, and qualified executive talent pipelines.

The Executive Sourcer applies advanced research methods, competitive intelligence, organizational mapping, and personalized outreach to identify and engage executive talent. The role provides market insight, calibrates profiles with search partners, and hands off qualified, interested candidates to the Principal Executive Recruiter for assessment and progression through the executive recruiting process.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead intake and discovery with the Principal Executive Recruiter and hiring leader to understand the business context, leadership need, success profile, search guardrails, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate search requirements into a focused sourcing strategy, including target companies, feeder roles, relevant industries, leadership profiles, and agreed trade-offs.
  • Conduct executive research, organizational mapping, competitor analysis, and market intelligence to identify prospective technology leaders.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, diverse executive talent pipelines for critical technology leadership roles.
  • Present researched profiles for calibration, incorporate feedback, and refine the search strategy and target profile as needed.
  • Engage prospective executive candidates through thoughtful, personalized outreach that explains the leadership opportunity and business impact.
  • Evaluate initial interest and relevant experience to identify qualified, interested, and available candidates for recruiter review.
  • Provide the Principal Executive Recruiter with clear candidate context, research findings, outreach history, and market insights at handoff.
  • Deliver practical market intelligence on talent availability, competitor structures, leadership profiles, and sourcing constraints to support search decisions.
  • Maintain accurate research, outreach, candidate status, and pipeline information in executive recruiting systems and tools.
  • Track sourcing progress, response rates, pipeline strength, and time to qualified slate to identify risks and adjust the search approach.
  • Champion inclusive research and sourcing practices that broaden access to executive talent.
  • Contribute to improvements in executive research methods, sourcing tools, market intelligence, and recruiter handoff practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of talent acquisition, executive research, sourcing, or search experience, including experience supporting senior-level or executive technology searches.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and engage VP-level and other senior technology leaders.
  • Strong understanding of technology functions, leadership structures, feeder roles, and relevant talent markets.
  • Experience building target company lists, conducting organizational mapping, and producing competitor and talent market research.
  • Expertise in Boolean search, advanced sourcing techniques, executive search tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM platforms, and applicant tracking systems.
  • Strong candidate engagement, relationship-building, networking, and personalized outreach skills.
  • Ability to synthesize research and market information into clear recommendations for executive recruiters and hiring leaders.
  • Strong judgment and ability to calibrate executive profiles against defined search criteria and business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple searches, shifting priorities, and detailed research work simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive-level audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and inclusive executive sourcing practices.
