Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Talent Acquisition Technical Recruiter on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.


Summary:

Acting as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders, develops and executes effective, position-specific Talent Acquisition strategies to ensure open positions are filled with high quality talent in a timely fashion. Partners with Hiring Managers and other internal teams across the enterprise to meet talent acquisition business objectives. Advises internal stakeholders on labor strategy, policies, guidelines, and processes as it relates to various areas of Talent Acquisition. Acts as subject matter expert in talent acquisition but also in functional market expertise, industry trends, job knowledge, organizational structure, and ongoing business strategy to support business needs. May serve as the primary point of contact for vendors/suppliers.

Primary Duties and responsibilities


  • Manages the full cycle recruiting process with an emphasis on building strong hiring manager partnerships and candidate advocacy to attract and retain top talent.
  • Leverages Copilot and approved TA workflows to support candidate sourcing, screening, and communication, ensuring adherence to established, version-controlled processes rather than ad hoc use.
  • Champions AI adoption within the team by actively participating in biweekly Copilot adoption calls, sharing feedback and use cases, and helping colleagues build confidence with recruiting workflows.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI tools to reduce administrative work and improve consistency, while flagging gaps or improvement ideas to workflow owners.
  • Consults with and provides support to hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, forecast, create requisitions, monitor approvals, escalate issues when required, review and qualify new requisitions and may work with suppliers.
  • Creates a robust pipeline of candidates through advanced sourcing including web searches and utilizing our current applicant tracking system, LinkedIn, etc., to increase creative digital sourcing.
  • Provides an exceptional candidate experience both internally and externally, throughout the hiring process to promote as a great place to work.
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations (forecasting, requisition, sourcing, and reporting). Manages weekly recruiting metrics and reports pertaining to open positions and recruiting operations and uses this data to influence hiring and contingent spend to support actionable decision making.
  • Interviews and qualifies potential candidates based on the agreed upon competencies needed, goals and needs of the business to hire the best fit candidate.
  • Manages the recruitment processes by appropriately tracking statuses within the applicant tracking system and/or VMS reporting systems, to allow for accurate reporting to support overall talent acquisition processes and business goals.
  • Ability to provide value added, recruiting advice to hiring managers to help influence talent decisions and negotiate compensation based on job and market trends.
  • Encourages hiring managers to keep diversity front-of-mind and understand what diversity looks like on their team to help influence diversity of people and thought.
  • Participates in a variety of related projects that are new, complex, cross-functional, or may require a high degree of initiative, self-direction, and innovation.

For contingent recruiting specifically:

  • Facilitate Q&A sessions for suppliers on requisitions as needed and screen candidate profiles (skills, experience, availability, etc.) and resume to pass qualified candidates to the Hiring manager coordinate/schedule interviews with both Hiring manager and Supplier.
  • Facilitates On/Off Boarding process and assignment changes (including extensions, transfers, backfills, etc.) and ensures alignment with compliance.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five years of recruiting experience.
  • Solid business insight and broad understanding of current business trends and strategies.
  • Ability to engage at all levels of the organization - handle ambiguity, structure priorities, deliver on results, and build relationships while thinking strategically and objectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and sound judgment are required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail through project management related work
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously a must
  • Ability to function effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced consulting skills with demonstrated ability to successfully persuade senior stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of all state and federal laws and regulations regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in Boolean search methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite including Copilot.
  • May require knowledge of VMS systems, VMS administrator experience within Vndly.
