Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking a Manufacturing (MES) Business Systems Analyst on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Directly participate in the analysis, configuration, modification, and implementation of IT Business Systems
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve system issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems
  • Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and business requests, and recommend solutions using system standards and best practices
  • Conduct analysis of system specifications, configurations, and develop appropriate documentation
  • Create detailed specifications and process flows to provide direction to application developers
  • Perform solution designing, requirements definition, functional design, testing, prototyping, and implementation of IT solutions
  • Support, assist, and train the users on the new modified system configurations, highlighting the impact on business processes
  • Maintain IT Business system integrity and application notes, system upgrades, changes, and user updates
  • Responsible for debugging system-level code of business applications
  • Provide production support for Systems Manufacturing, including some after-hours and weekends


Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems; an MS or MBA is a plus
  • 3-5 years of Business Systems Analysis experience in a company, preferably in a government-regulated industry
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex solutions in a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) (Preferably DELMIA Apriso)
  • Experience working with business end users, gathering requirements, and building detailed functional design specifications
  • Experience integrating with other business systems (e.g., ERP (SAP), PLM (Agile), CRM)
  • Ability to manage IT projects from conception to implementation
  • Experience with MS SQL and MS SQL Server Management Studio is a must
  • Experience with multi-node server architectures
  • Experience with long-form datatypes (e.g., XML, JSON)
  • Experience with front-end development using JavaScript and CSS is a plus
  • Experience with Tableau, SSRS, or other related reporting applications is a plus
  • Experience with the integration of machine and hardware tools, such as digital torque tools, is a plus
  • Experience with Altova Software Suite and MapForce software is a plus
  • Experience working with SAP ECC 6.0 or above is a plus
  • Knowledge or experience with Snowflake is a plus
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with remote teams
