Buyer, Grocery Experience (100% Remote)

We are seeking a Buyer on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively purchase grocery items to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Confirm item availability and make customer-first substitution decisions when products are out of stock
• Execute fulfillment workflows to ensure high levels of quality, freshness, and order accuracy
• Manage multiple grocery orders and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Make real-time purchasing and substitution decisions when predefined solutions are not available
• Maintain clear and concise written documentation and internal communication
• Collaborate with team members to support operational excellence and deliver a best-in-class grocery experience
• Uphold high service standards by going above and beyond to secure accurate, fresh, and high-quality grocery items

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• At least 1 year of experience in grocery, retail, buying, merchandising, fulfillment, or a fast-paced operational role
• Strong ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to make real-time decisions
• Strong written communication skills, including documentation and internal messaging
• Above-average technological proficiency
• Familiarity with collaboration and productivity tools such as Google Workspace and Slack preferred
• Prior experience in grocery buying, store operations, inventory management, order picking, or fulfillment preferred
