Job description
The Mom Project is excited to partner with EY in their search for a Sales and Use Compliance Tax - Notice Reviewer – Contractor.
Responsibilities:
- This role will handle sales and use tax compliance notices and support the preparation of monthly sales tax returns; which involves reviewing notices, determining the legal entity, jurisdiction, and potential issues related to notices
- Communicate with departments of revenue to problem solve, perform analysis and critical thinking, negotiate and prepare response documents to clear notices
- Coordinate with the client teams on any outstanding item
- Document results and update the notice log tracker
Qualifications:
- Attending 4-year college, majoring in accounting
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills due to significant client interaction
- Must be able to work with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times
- Must be available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week during the summer
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office
The expected pay rate range for this contract assignment is $20 - $21 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
