Job description

Our Customer is a technology company that connects people with the best of their neighborhoods across the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, they’re fulfilling our mission to grow and empower local economies.

Our Customer is seeking a contract Catering Local Field Operator to help their business needs. This role will provide local support for Catering Golden Market orders and support the ordering and delivery experience for clients. They will provide 1) a concierge order experience 2) merchant order management and rapid mx acquisition and 3) in person delivery support. Impact: This role will be responsible for the execution and success of highest priority orders. They will support corporate catering clients and their order needs to ensure the quarterly GOV goals are hit. . This role is a hybrid setup in NYC. Candidates must be willing to come into the office once a week or so. There is some travel within the city -- not to every client but to big/important orders (2-3 times/week).



Responsibilities:

  • Concierge order experience (EOQ: ~25 orders per week per person)
  • Coordinate orders with clients
  • Build catering orders for external approval
  • Place orders and support order adjustments Merchant order management and rapid acquisition (EOQ: ~15 orders per week per person)
  • Coordinate orders with merchants that fall outside the scope of existing product
  • Work with mx to ensure orders meet clients needs (e.g. enough food)
  • Enable catering orders from merchants not previously onboarded into LO program Delivery Support (EOQ: ~5 orders per week per person)
  • Client facing representative accompany delivery drivers to high stakes orders to ensure things go smoothly
  • Provide support above and beyond the scope of delivery drivers (e.g. purchase utensils last minute)
  • Support training and onboarding new delivery drivers into the catering program


Skills/Qualifications:
  • Client facing experience (restaurant, catering, or account management experience is a plus)
  • Ability to solve problems on the fly and get to a desired outcome
  • Strong work ethic, flexible schedule, and a bias towards action
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Detail oriented with an eye for design (e.g. order set up and menu presentation)
