We are seeking a Center Of Excellence Manager, FP&A on a contract basis to join our Customer's FP&A team that manages the outsourced FP&A Center of Excellence (COE) in India for all of the company. The COE's mission is to leverage scalable solutions to enable the company's FP&A to effectively centralize, standardize, and optimize deliverables and processes to facilitate the company's continued success. The COE is responsible for the daily FP&A operations and provides direct support to all finance managers. The candidate in this role will need to have expert knowledge in finance and accounting operations. This role will be at the forefront of managing the day-to-day operations of the outsourced vendor to help Finance continue to scale. This role will play a critical role in the monthly close process and in headcount and expense management for the company's businesses. The role is 100% remote to these locations: Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Austin, TX, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, and, San Diego, CA.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of outsourced vendor ensuring offshore team delivers quality, timely work product
  • Outsourced vendor scope of work includes:
    • Own monthly and quarterly close process for FP&A including PO accruals and Reclass JEs to ensure close accuracy
    • Own daily approvals include Purchase Requisitions, Contingent Worker requests, and the company's FTE movements
    • Own headcount and expense reporting and budget management
  • Chart of Account Management:
    • Identify and track outsourced team performance metrics develop strategies to improve performance and evaluate process steps
    • Help create a framework for evaluating workstreams to shift to offshore team and implement a seamless process to shift work to the vendor
    • Lead process improvement projects across FP&A teams to streamline, and automate existing FP&A processes and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams - including Accounting, Enterprise Engineering, Source-to-Pay, and HR
  • Ensure Vendor Desktop Procedures (DTPs) are updated accordingly
  • Be willing to "roll up your sleeves" and take on or teach operational tasks in support of the team's goals

Must-Haves:

  • 10+ years of Accounting or Financial experience including operational roles (e.g., GL accounting, FP&A, etc.)
  • Prior working experience with a captive or outsourced accounting and finance team, or a COE function
  • Experience learning new systems/tools and proactively look for opportunities to create operational efficiencies with existing processes
  • Experience working and problem solving independently, organizing workload and priorities, and completing tasks on time
  • Experience with Financial Tools/Systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and PPT/Google Slides
  • Strong project management skills, analytics, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience in Oracle Financials and Hyperion Planning preferred
  • Experience managing and training finance analysts preferred
  • Experience leading large-scale cross-functional projects

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Certified Public Accountant certification preferred

Hours & Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
