Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.


We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Process Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

  • Process claims involving customer funds received from third parties, including garnishments, levies, liens, and information subpoenas
  • Review legal documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency
  • Analyze account records to determine whether customer accounts are impacted
  • Restrain and release funds in accordance with legal requirements and internal policies
  • Prepare and submit response documentation to third parties within required timelines
  • Communicate with customers, creditors, taxing authorities, attorneys, and court officials regarding claim status and requirements
  • Maintain accurate tracking systems and documentation to support actions taken, including escalations
  • Assist customers with 1099-K tax form corrections and related inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and internal procedures throughout all processes


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of similar work experience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of reading comprehension, especially with legal and financial documents
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lien, levy, or garnishment processing
  • Experience with 1099-K tax form corrections
