Job description
Our group of companies consists of a New York-based registered investment adviser, broker dealer, and insurance agency serving high net worth individuals, families and non-profit organizations. With over $3.6 billion of assets under management, we provide attentive professional service and advice across all areas of wealth management. We are privileged to have a dedicated team of experienced, licensed investment professionals at our firm who provide personalized service to our clients. Family Management team members consult on a full array of financial products including stocks, bonds, ETF, mutual funds, hedge funds and other alternative investments, insurance products, and real estate.
As an Associate you will be:
- Participating in Client meetings with firm principals to collect personal information and develop investment allocations and planning suggestions.
- Opening accounts and completing all related paperwork
- Tracking funding of accounts and ensuring investment per agreed upon allocation and ongoing monitoring of accounts
- Handling client inquiries
- Preparing client reports as needed by firm principals or client
- Expected to be familiar with FMC clients to serve as backup to other associates in their absence
- Expected to have working knowledge of all investment vehicles utilized by FMC including stock holdings, fixed income strategies, outside managers.
- Analyzing and resolving discrepancies between custodian and internal portfolio management systems (Tamarac/Advent Axys)
- FINRA licenses Series 7 and 63 are required and will be held at our BD affiliate
- A bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years of preferred experience in wealth management client service
- Capable of working under pressure in a dynamic setting

LICENSING & DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS
Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, Series 7
Series 65 or 66 licenses (within 90 days)
