Job description

About Us

We are a growth consulting firm specializing in customer research, go-to-market strategy, and product positioning for B2B SaaS companies. We work with 3-4 clients simultaneously on 7-12 week engagements focused on customer discovery, JTBD research, and strategic growth planning.

THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced operations and project coordinator to support client delivery and keep projects running smoothly. This role handles the operational backbone of our client engagements - from onboarding new clients to managing research logistics to keeping stakeholders updated.

You'll work directly with Founder and Lead Strategist and our research team to ensure clients have a seamless experience from kickoff through final delivery.

This is not an entry-level admin role. We need someone with PM or ops experience who can work independently, handle client-facing responsibilities with professionalism, and doesn't require handholding.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have:

  • 2+ years of project management or operations experience (consulting, agency, or SaaS background preferred)
  • Experience working directly with clients in a professional services environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills - you can keep track of moving pieces without constant oversight
  • Self-directed and proactive - you see what needs to be done and do it
  • Excellent written communication (you'll be representing the company in client emails)
  • Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, project management software, Notion, etc.)

Nice to Have:

  • Agency background (used to client-facing work, professional presence)
  • Experience with customer research or interview logistics
  • Familiarity with SaaS/tech industry

Working Style:

  • Part-time, flexible schedule (hours vary by project load - typically 12-20 hours/week)
  • Comfortable with async communication (we work across time zones)
  • Ability to jump in quickly when projects ramp up
  • Not intimidated by context switching between 3-4 active clients

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly rate: $45-$60/hour (depending on experience)
  • Part-time, flexible hours (12-20 hours/week on average, variable by project load)
  • Paid as 1099 contractor

WHY US

Work alongside the Founder, a recognized growth strategist who's helped hundreds of B2B SaaS companies unlock sustainable growth through customer research-driven positioning. She brings expertise in Jobs to be Done methodology and go-to-market strategy, working with clients ranging from early-stage startups to established SaaS platforms. You'll be part of a small, collaborative team where your operational work directly enables high-impact strategic consulting.

This is a great fit for someone who:

  • Wants part-time, flexible work with a small, established consulting firm
  • Enjoys operational work and keeping projects organized
  • Likes working with clients but doesn't want to be the strategic lead
  • Values independence and doesn't need constant direction

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.

Screening Questions

  • Describe your experience managing a scheduling system or interview/booking tracker that other people relied on.
  • Describe your experience with managing projects or operations.
  • Any relevant experiences working with agencies, consulting, software, or SaaS?
  • What's your schedule like? Are you okay with variable hours week over week and based on project demand?
