Job description

We provide college consulting and mentorship for career- and college-bound students. We design rigorous educational pathways rooted in a holistic approach. At the end of our work together, students know where they want to go, what they want to do, and who they want to be.


We are seeking Part-Time College Counselors (up to 30 hours per week) to provide small group and 1:1 instruction virtually to students across the country. This is a 1099 contract role, candidates must sit in PST or MST to be considered. Candidates should be available weekdays from 12-6pm MST and open to

one weekend per month during busy season. All mentors are provided with lessons designed in the “workshop model” that include a range of topics—from resume development, personal values, a personality assessment, and essay development. We use cutting-edge platforms to manage and organize all of our activities. All counselors work under a Certified Educational Planner. We are committed to making the college application process simple, deliberate, and joyful.

College Counseling Job Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to student learning, growth, and advancement

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject-matter field preferred
  • Recent college counseling or education experience
  • Familiarity with the “workshop model” and progressive teaching methods
  • Flexible and open mindset
  • Ability to give and receive feedback

Compensation:

  • $35–$40/hour for client-facing work
  • $15-17/hour for administrative work
  • 10–30 hours per week, managing a caseload of 10–30 students

Workload & Growth:

This position begins with a gradual onboarding of students to ensure mentors feel confident and well-prepared. As you grow familiar with our curriculum and systems, your caseload will increase intentionally.
