Commercial Real Estate Attorney (Admission to NY Bar Required)
Commercial Real Estate Attorney (Admission to NY Bar Required)
Our Client - Legal company
- New York, NY
Job description
Are you an experienced commercial real estate lawyer who wants to make a difference with their work?
If you love commercial real estate, advising commercial tenants and landlords, and want to do things the “right way,” we're ready to provide you the opportunity to write the next chapter in your career.
Our growing law firm is committed to assisting commercial landlords and tenants, and we are looking for an attorney who "gets it."
Most technically competent lawyers can review and prepare a lease. In addition to a baseline of competence, the type of lawyer we're looking for is able to give practical and profitable advice to our clients about what provisions should be in leases and contracts, and focus on things that matter rather than picayune items that don’t. In addition, you will have the pleasure of mentoring a growing team and making an impact on a law firm that believes it will be successful when its clients make more money rather than the other way around.
In order to be qualified for this role you must:
- Be a licensed attorney in the State of New York with 8+ years of experience and active bar membership in good standing
- Have prior sophisticated commercial leasing experience
- Have a positive and at least a slightly entrepreneurial attitude willing to help grow a law firm (and all that comes with it)
- Have a strong understanding of landlord and tenant representation
- Have excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with an ability to adopt new technology
- Have a willingness to complete a first round written interview
Work Location: In person to start with ability to be hybrid based upon performance
