Job description
We are partnering with a Commercial Real Estate Law firm looking for a part-time Paralegal.
Minimum Hours: 15hrs per week with opportunity to increase
Pay Range: $75.00 -$80.00 per hour
100% Remote
W2 Contracted Position
Start Date- As soon as possible
End Date:- On-Going
Core Responsibilities
- Support attorney with commercial real estate acquisition, development, construction, and closing matters.
- Review, organize, and track purchase agreements, amendments, due diligence materials, title commitments, surveys, plats, zoning materials, entity documents, closing checklists, and related transaction documents.
- Assist with title and survey review, including identifying key exceptions, missing items, access issues, easements, legal description issues, and other items requiring attorney review.
- Coordinate with clients, title companies, surveyors, other parties' counsel, brokers, consultants, lenders, and local government contacts as needed.
- Prepare and maintain transaction checklists, timelines, due diligence trackers, and electronic matter files.
- Draft and revise (under attorney supervision) routine real estate transaction documents, correspondence, deeds and other closing documents, closing attorney/title instruction letters, entity organizational documents, HOA related documents.
- Assist with information and document collection, signature coordination, deliverables, recording documents, and file organization.
- Help manage contract deadlines, critical dates, follow-up items, and client communications.
- Provide administrative and project-management support for active real estate and construction matters, including keeping files organized and ensuring outstanding items are moving forward.
- Perform all work with a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Qualifications/Skills
- 7-9+ years of legal experience preferred, with significant experience in commercial real estate transactions.
- Strong working knowledge of real estate transactional documents, due diligence, title commitments, surveys, closings, entity documents, and transaction checklists.
- Experience supporting attorneys on property acquisition, development, construction, homebuilder, lender, commercial real estate matters strongly preferred.
- Ability to identify issues requiring attorney review without providing legal advice or exercising independent legal judgment.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and document-heavy projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional correspondence with clients, title companies, opposing counsel, and transaction parties.
- High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work with limited supervision.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PDF/document management tools, and cloud-based file organization.
- Experience with Clio is a plus but not required.
- Familiar with Georgia real estate law a plus
