Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.
Our customer is looking for an Accountant on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities:
Communications Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute communication plans and roadmaps aligned to enterprise initiatives and project timelines.
- Create and deploy communications across multiple channels, including email, intranet, presentations, and leader messaging.
- Design communication tools, resources, and plans to support employees and leaders through organizational changes impacting campus experience.
- Translate complex operational, planning, and change-related information into concise, employee-friendly messaging.
- Manage divisional communications through centralized communication channels to keep employees informed of operational updates.
- Own and manage intranet/Microsoft SharePoint content strategy and repository structure, ensuring resources, FAQs, toolkits, and project materials remain current and accessible.
- Develop communication frameworks, tools, and guidance that strengthen change management and communication capabilities across leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop leader-facing materials, including talking points, FAQs, facilitation guides, and playbooks.
- Partner with leaders and stakeholders on communication approach, timing, sequencing, stakeholder engagement, and change impacts.
- Ensure leaders are equipped to communicate and reinforce organizational changes effectively.
- Plan and facilitate department meetings, forums, and leadership sessions to drive alignment and collaboration.
- Provide change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement support for complex initiatives.
- Support integration of communications into broader change strategies.
- Ensure communication plans reflect milestones, audience impacts, stakeholder needs, and readiness priorities.
- Partner with change management and cross-functional teams to ensure aligned messaging and engagement strategies.
- Track communication effectiveness and readiness indicators.
- Gather stakeholder and employee feedback to improve communication strategies.
- Refine messaging, communication channels, and engagement approaches based on feedback and evolving project needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in internal communications, organizational communications, or related fields.
- Proven experience developing and executing communication and engagement plans in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to simplify complex topics into clear, concise communications.
- Experience creating executive- and leader-facing communication materials.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to influence across complex initiatives.
- Experience planning and facilitating department-wide meetings, forums, or employee engagement events.
- Experience managing communications across collaboration platforms and employee communication channels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing plans.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong communication strategy and content governance skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience applying change management concepts such as employee readiness, adoption, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience supporting large-scale organizational or operational change initiatives.
- Familiarity with enterprise communication channels, including intranet platforms, leader cascades, collaboration tools, and employee engagement forums.
