Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.

We are seeking a Communications Coordinator on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is onsite in New York, NY.

This position serves the MotorTrend Scheduling team in a variety of areas including helping to develop and execute network strategies, carrying out discrete parts of assigned scheduling activities and implementing and refining ongoing scheduling processes. The right candidate will have a solid understanding of programming strategy, scheduling systems, and experience with Live programming events.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Typical responsibilities include gathering, entering, and disseminating scheduling materials for Motortrend linear network.
  • Responsible for entering and maintaining official program schedules into Broadview. This position includes regular data entry and data governance.
  • Work with Broadcast Logistics and Operations teams on Live events, including car auctions and professional racing events.
  • Actively participate in the strategic planning of the MotorTrend linear schedules. Includes screening and electing episodes of assigned series.
  • Create, draft, and release Program Changes and Monthly Releases.
  • Act as Scheduling liaison for MotorTrend and Internal Departments - answering programming and scheduling questions as needed.
  • Serve as the point of contact for listing services, ensuring programming information is accurate and complete.
  • Monitor ratings for audience trends. Must have awareness of the competitive landscape for strategic scheduling and counter programming stunts.
  • Works closely with post-production and media logistics teams on version management and editing needs.
  • Coordinate nonlinear scheduling of MotorTrends content, working closely with internal groups on the windowing of content across nonlinear platforms (discovery+ & MAX)
  • Perform other duties as needed and as directed by the Programming & Scheduling team

Requirements:
  • Live events will require working 1-2 weekends a month.
  • Analysis and troubleshooting skills as they relate to scheduling.
  • Extreme attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of video/media production and/or processing a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to act independently and responsibly
  • Employee will also perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with entertainment scheduling systems a plus.
  • Appreciation for car culture
