Job description

Our Customer is a software vendor of cloud-based ERP that practices in human capital management and financial management applications. They offer products and services that allow customers to oversee time tracking, procurement, employee data, financial accounting, and expense management at anytime and anywhere. They continue to offer enterprise-level software solutions for financial management, human resources, and planning. Their proven methodology, expertise, community, tools, and education help ensure your organization’s success.

We are seeking a Communications Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid in the following locations: Pleasanton, CA, Austin, TX, Salt Lake city, UT and Atlanta, GA.

We are seeking a strong communications professional with experience driving internal and external communications in a fast-paced, diverse workplace. The Communications Specialist will serve as the communications partner for Global Support Operations and Enablement. You will implement the communications strategy, partnering with internal team members and stakeholders to deliver key messages, drive engagement, and build presence for the Support organization.

The ideal individual will possess excellent writing skills, be a self-starter, build positive relationships across teams, and balance multiple priorities at one time. It is also preferred that this candidate brings a creative approach and project management skills.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop and deliver communication plans and content for projects and initiatives benefiting the Global Customer Support organization as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Plan, write, edit, design, and deliver internal and external communication using a variety of channels such as team meetings, newsletters, Slack posts, blog posts, emails, presentations, and video
  • Coordinate employee events and engagement activities including VIBE and recognition programs
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure tight alignment of messages and narratives, and demonstrate effectiveness of communication tactics through clearly defined metrics
  • Craft engaging visual and written content that elevates the company brand, style, and core values
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience on a corporate or organizational communications team preferably in a fast-paced technology company
  • Flexible and dynamic writing talent ranging from technical writing ability for complex technical projects to big-picture, strategic messaging
  • Ability to manage communication plans and content for multiple projects
  • Proven experience developing communications plans and content leveraging a variety of channels including short- and long-form written messages, videos, events, and presentations
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and visual design skills. Ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging. Ability to write in a simple, direct, warm, and friendly tone
  • Strong presentation design and video creation skills
  • Proficiency with Google suite and Canva

  • Experience with event production and meeting planning is highly desired
