Job description

We are seeking a Communications Specialist on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in San Francisco or NYC.



Responsibilities:

  • Source, develop, and publish customer success stories across owned content channels, including blogs and social media
  • Generate proactive pitch ideas and maintain consistent press outreach for customer advocacy stories
  • Write creative communications materials including social posts, blogs, media pitches, and announcement content
  • Develop communications plans for product launch moments, integrating customer advocates to highlight real-world impact
  • Project manage a global pipeline of customer advocates, ensuring continuous sourcing and readiness for upcoming launches
  • Track program performance and deliver regular reporting and status updates on advocacy efforts
  • Support product launches and industry events with event logistics and press outreach
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including sales, product, marketing, research, legal, and social media
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, account teams, press, influencers, and external stakeholders


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of experience in business communications, digital communications, product communications, or customer marketing
  • Proven experience in program and project management
  • Demonstrated strength in customer storytelling and advocacy content development
  • Experience sourcing stories from scratch and shaping them into compelling narratives
  • Strong writing and editorial skills across owned and earned media formats
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with sales, product, and marketing teams
  • Interest in or familiarity with advertising tools and the advertising industry
  • Experience executing creative communications and social programs preferred
  • Experience in both in-house and agency environments preferred
  • Customer marketing background preferred
  • Experience working in fast-paced or startup-style environments preferred
  • Established media relationships within advertising-related verticals preferred
