Job description

  • Community Marketing Manager (Part-Time)
  • This will be a mostly remote role, but the ideal candidate must be based in Los Angeles and be well connected in parent communities. The ability to attend local events will also be required.
  • $40/hour, 20 hours/week within core business hours

About Client

Our client is a pediatric care platform where providers, families, and care teams finally come together in one place. They are on a mission to ensure every child can thrive by simplifying pediatric therapy and improving collaboration across the entire care ecosystem.

Families discover trusted providers quickly, accessing flexible therapy options tailored to their insurance coverage and their needs (in-home or virtual). Providers can expand their reach, manage their practice effortlessly, and collaborate seamlessly with families and multidisciplinary care teams—all in one secure space.

They are looking for a Part-Time Community Manager to help grow, support, and engage our community—both within our own platform and across the digital spaces where caregivers already gather. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a mission-driven, community-first brand from the ground up—creating a safe, supportive space for families and providers navigating complex care journeys.

What You’ll Do

Own and manage online community space

    • Launch and moderate discussions, answer user questions, and help members connect with each other.
    • Establish simple, repeatable rituals (e.g. weekly prompts, spotlight stories, monthly AMAs) that bring the community to life.
    • Identify and empower trusted members to serve as volunteer moderators—helping foster a safe, supportive, and self-sustaining community.
    • Create and curate helpful resources, host live Q&As, and share product sneak peeks to deepen engagement.

Show up in social comments and DMs—because that’s where community happens

    • Actively respond to questions, comments, and direct messages across our social channels and community space.
    • Use these moments as opportunities to build trust, answer concerns, and turn passive followers into engaged members.

Create content that feels relevant, helpful, and culturally in tune

    • Write and schedule posts that reflect real community needs—whether it’s educational resources, inspiring provider stories, or Q&A threads.
    • Bring an eye for trends and storytelling formats that resonate—knowing how to tap into cultural moments, meme formats, or viral-style hooks while staying true to our mission.
    • Highlight community voices and shape our storytelling across social.
    • Help produce short-form content or collaborate with freelance creators to bring ideas to life.

Engage beyond platform

    • Participate in relevant Facebook groups, Reddit threads, and parenting forums where our audience already gathers—including comments on TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and Bluesky.
    • Add value to conversations—not just by posting, but by showing up consistently and empathetically.
    • Monitor trends, surface insights, and identify opportunities for Village to show up with care and relevance.

Fuel growth through advocacy

    • Identify the most passionate users and help build an ambassador pipeline.
    • Support community-driven activations that align with product launches, education initiatives, or brand campaigns.

Track community health and insights

    • Monitor engagement, sentiment, and member feedback to understand what’s working and what’s not.
    • Share learnings with the broader team to help inform product, content, and community development.

Support in-person events and outreach

    • Help coordinate and represent company at local community events, conferences, or parent gatherings.
    • Manage event logistics, booth setup, and real-time engagement—ensuring our brand shows up in a warm, approachable, and informative way.
    • Collaborate with the team on local partnership opportunities—whether it’s co-hosted events, resource swaps, or community spotlights.
    • Capture feedback and insights from attendees to share back with the team.

You Might Be a Fit If You...

  • Have experience managing or moderating online communities, especially in parenting, healthcare, education, or wellness spaces
  • Are an excellent communicator—empathetic, warm, clear, and tactful
  • Are proactive and organized—you love building systems, not just reacting
  • Are comfortable creating lightweight content (e.g. posts, polls, visuals) and can either DIY or work with creators
  • Care deeply about families, kids, and improving the pediatric care experience
  • Bonus: You’re personally passionate about child development—topics like autism, ADHD, genetic disorders, OT, speech therapy, or early childhood education resonate with you

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.
