We are seeking a Community Manager on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in Lexington, MA.
The Community Manager is responsible for creating and managing programming that enhances the tenant and visitor experience and fosters a strong sense of community within the property. This role is highly visible and lobby-facing, requiring a hospitable, friendly demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. The Community Manager oversees event and conference spaces, manages property applications and social media, supports administrative and concierge services, and collaborates with internal teams to deliver high-quality experiences—particularly within the life sciences industry.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Tenant Experience
- Greet tenants and visitors in the main lobby with a professional, welcoming demeanor
- Serve as a concierge and informational resource for tenants, building management, and guests
- Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries in a timely and helpful manner
- Support the execution of small-scale appreciation events and lobby activations
- Act as a building ambassador to encourage tenant participation in programming
Programming, Events & Community Engagement
- Design and manage property programming that fosters inclusion and community
- Plan and execute meetings, professional conferences, networking events, and large-scale events
- Manage and schedule building amenities, including conference rooms, rooftop spaces, and tenant lounges
- Coordinate external usage of amenity spaces and onsite retailer collaborations
- Maintain and manage the programming budget
- Assist with welcome events and collateral for new tenants
- Stay informed on local cultural, dining, and entertainment offerings to enhance tenant experiences
App, Marketing & Communications
- Partner with app developers to design, implement, and maintain the property app
- Create, manage, and update app content aligned with brand standards
- Promote app usage among tenants, residents, and guests
- Manage property social media accounts
- Design and write internal marketing collateral for events and programming
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital and printed materials
Operations, Reporting & Vendor Management
- Manage the admin portal of the property app
- Track client requests and oversee accurate billing of services
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best pricing and service
- Maintain and grow a preferred vendor list in partnership with corporate teams
- Produce reports related to programming, requests, and events
- Perform administrative tasks and support additional duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or VIP guest services
- Previous concierge or VIP retail experience strongly preferred
- Expert-level knowledge of the local area, including dining, retail, and entertainment trends
- Hospitable, friendly, and approachable demeanor
- Strong event planning and marketing experience
- Ability to manage logistics for events with up to 3,000 attendees
- Creative mindset with an eye for clean, concise marketing materials
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and self-motivated
- Professional appearance and conduct
- Tech-savvy with comfort using digital tools and platforms
