We are seeking a Compliance Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. The main function of the role is to ensure arrange, conduct and monitor compliance testing, audits, and investigations.
The role is 100% remote to these locations: Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Menlo Park, CA.
What You’ll Do:
Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.- Monitor, assess, and communicate regulatory changes and emerging compliance risks and trends to key partners and stakeholders.
- Assist business, Compliance, and other control function partners in responding to client escalations by conducting , compiling and presenting research as required.
- Remain current on emerging trends and developments, both within the local region and globally, affecting the regulatory environment.
- Audit execution, scope documents, execution/testing, documentation updating, reporting, and issue management
- Team activities, supporting cross-functional groups
Must-Haves:
- 5-7 years of experience in the related field
- Ability to understand and interpret complex regulatory legislation
- Works well independently and a strong team player
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Visio
- Excellent business writing skills to update regulatory artifacts, Standard Operating Procedures, training material, etc.
- Verbal communication and writing skills
- Interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Engineering experience preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Legal, or related field
- Master of Engineering preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
