Job description
Our Customer is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are available in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.
We are seeking a Concept Director on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid setup with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in San Francisco, CA.
In this role, you will work in an energizing, inclusive, and creative environment focused on concepting and creating sustainable product that exceeds customers' expectations. This role is instrumental in establishing trend led seasonal direction for Women's Concept.
Key Responsibilities
- Research global trend insight and markets in order to identify, conceptualize and drive new trends and strategic concept direction each season
- Support Senior Concept Director through proactively curating and creating trend big ideas, theme mood boards & presentations
- Collaborate with Concept & Design team to deliver seasonal kick-off
- Develop strong internal cross functional relationships with Design & Merchandising to ensure strategic and purposeful trend direction - provide trend support & guidance as needed
- Consistently research trend + the marketplace, for inspirations and opportunities in product assortments, trend and storytelling
- 8-10 years of related work experience
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the agility to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track deadlines.
- Ability to both direct and visualize compelling presentations and mood boards
- Possess an elevated sense of style, trend, knowledge of women's design and how to translate trends through the lens of the customer and brand filter
- Dynamic, team-oriented attitude; positive energy with an ability to take feedback
- Ability to assess complex situations and analyze data to make judgments and recommend solutions
- Confident and proven presentation skills, capable of influencing an audience - both visually and verbally
- Well-crafted communication and organizational skills; strong detail orientation, project management and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
