Job description
Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.
We are seeking a Consultant AI Service Delivery Lead on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This role will serve as a blended Project Manager and Technical Lead, with approximately 40% focus on project management and 60% focus on technical solution leadership. This role will partner with Marketing, IT, and business stakeholders to understand business needs, translate requirements into actionable technical direction, and support the delivery of AI, automation, and marketing technology solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, project management, and technical acumen, with the ability to lead stakeholder discussions, document requirements, manage delivery risks, and support quick proofs-of-concept using Microsoft Copilot Studio or similar platforms to validate business expectations and solution feasibility.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a blended Project Manager and Technical Lead across AI, automation, and marketing technology initiatives.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, pain points, process gaps, and success criteria.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements, user stories, process flows, and implementation considerations.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, project meetings, discovery sessions, and technical working sessions.
- Support marketing technology discussions across platforms, integrations, workflows, AI enablement, and automation opportunities.
- Develop or coordinate proofs-of-concept using AI and automation platforms to validate feasibility and business value.
- Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, stakeholder communications, and status reporting.
- Coordinate across Marketing, IT, platform owners, delivery teams, and external consultants to ensure alignment and execution.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to business audiences and ensure expectations are documented and actionable.
- Lead and influence cross-functional partners in a matrix environment.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in project management, technology delivery, business analysis, process improvement, automation, or marketing technology.
- Demonstrated ability to combine project management discipline with technical solution leadership.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical requirements or delivery-ready artifacts.
- Technical exposure to IT projects, integrations, enterprise platforms, AI-enabled solutions, workflow automation, or low-code/no-code tools.
- Familiarity with AI and automation platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Automate, and Microsoft 365.
- Strong understanding of marketing technology concepts, marketing workflows, and campaign operations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in marketing, marketing technology, digital transformation, AI transformation, or platform enablement.
- Hands-on experience building or supporting proofs-of-concept using AI, chatbots, or automation tools.
- Experience translating ambiguous business needs into structured requirements, user stories, process flows, and implementation recommendations.
- Knowledge of enterprise platforms such as Adobe Workfront, Microsoft SharePoint, Jira, CRM, and DAM tools.
- Experience working with IT, architecture, security, data, legal, compliance, sourcing, or governance teams.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods, project governance, and change management.
