We are seeking a Consumer Loan Servicing Analyst on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and compliant servicing of the consumer loan portfolio. The ideal candidate brings strong data analysis capabilities, a customer-centric mindset, and a passion for operational excellence. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally to identify process improvements, resolve servicing issues, and support the overall health and performance of the loan portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily loan servicing operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments, adjustments, and customer inquiries.
- Analyze servicing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in customer experience and portfolio performance.
- Support the design and maintenance of servicing workflows, documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis of servicing exceptions, delinquencies, and escalated customer issues; recommend and implement solutions.
- Partner with Compliance and QA teams to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to drive servicing enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Generate and deliver regular reporting on key servicing metrics (e.g., delinquency rates, resolution time, contact volume).
- Assist in vendor oversight and performance tracking of third-party providers
- Participate in audits, testing, and system updates related to loan servicing platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in consumer lending operations, loan servicing, or a related financial services role, ideally with a fintech company
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools.
- Experience with loan servicing systems (e.g., Salesforce, Fiserv, LoanPro, or similar) is preferred.
- Knowledge of consumer lending regulations (e.g., Reg Z, FDCPA, UDAAP) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
